Over the past year, Afterglow photographer Olivia Cagle photographed her friendships on 35mm film. The photos capture the comfort of old friendships and the exciting possibilities that new ones bring — sentiments that are also highlighted in Beyoncé’s “II MOST WANTED.”

“Didn’t know what I want ’til I saw your face” My friendship with Elena is one of my longest, and, throughout our relationship, she has shown me that what I want in a friend: authenticity and honesty.

We’ve gone on boba runs, baked for charity, and embarked on so many more adventures together, all of which I was the driver for. We’ve made so many memories during our numerous car rides, all of which I will hold with me forever.
