Everyone has those songs they just can’t get enough of, that they play on repeat all the time. Chances are, your friends have gotten sick of hearing the songs you play every time you have control of the aux. But there’s someone who would never — could never — complain about your favorite tunes: your dog. And while your furry friend has never asked for the aux, they have their own favorite melodies too. To find your pet’s favorite genres, researchers played different types of music in shelters. During these studies, dogs who listened to reggae and soft rock jams barked less, had lower heart rates, and were more relaxed. So next time you’re about to push play on your all-time favorite playlist around your furry friend for the millionth time, try out this pup-friendly playlist instead.
