This image means a lot to me because it was my first time photographing an official show with a big audience. Since it was raining that day, UT moved the show indoors, giving the artists the perfect lighting to capture great moments. The night was quite overwhelming, but I loved every minute of it.

Being able to take pictures of a major festival in Texas was such an amazing opportunity. It was such a wonderful experience as I made so many connections, took photos of incredible artists, and discovered new music.

Twin Peaks at the Mohawk 2019

Twin Peaks shows always carry so much energy and chaos. You know you’ll have an unforgettable night. This night was especially memorable because it was the first show I had an official photo pass for. Capturing the moment Cadien Lake James crowd surfs while Joe Keery cheers in the background was my favorite part of the show.

I love the emotion conveyed in this photo — also the memories associated with it are very memorable. I arrived late and had someone pick me up in a golf cart, and we drove down a dark tunnel with no lights for about five minutes straight. Eventually, we got to the stage and the other photographers and staff were super cool. After we got our three songs in, we were told that there was a special song that we could shoot, which is where I shot this.

This is my favorite photo that I took during Austin City Limits in 2019, which was the first festival that I had the privilege of covering. It was equally exciting and nerve racking to get a media pass, and I tried to shoot as many artists as I possibly could! King Princess was one of the artists I was looking forward to seeing live, and I love how the photo has a certain glow to it.
