April is National Poetry Month, and we at Afterglow love a poetic interlude à la every other track on Solange’s When I Get Home. This playlist is comprised of songs that intertwine spoken word with music, paying homage to favorite poets and the parallels between the two art forms. Be sure to shuffle these songs while walking umbrella-less in the rain, drinking black coffee, and wearing a moth-bitten turtleneck — preferably all at the same time.
