Photo Story: Maggie Rogers Concert

Folk pop singer Maggie Rogers performed in Austin on October 23 at Stubbs BBQ with Australia-based Mallrat as her opener.

Rogers is currently on tour promoting her upcoming album, Heard It In A Past Life, out January 19, 2019. Her Austin concert featured a blend of old hits and unreleased songs. Rogers was honest and eager to share as she explained what each new song signified, from “The Knife” as a tale of drunken nights with friends to “Overnight,” a raw portrayal of how her life changed after her song “Alaska” went viral.

Rogers frequently marveled at the size of the crowd, saying it was her biggest show of the tour yet, but her intimacy in sharing the stories behind songs lent the show the feeling of a secret listening party.
